Latvian Falun Gong Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 17, 2009, Latvian Falun Gong practitioners organized an activity in Riga, the capital city of Latvia, to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. The event took place in Mezaparks, one of the biggest parks in Riga's suburbs, which is a popular place of relaxation for local residents and guests.

During the activity, the Falun Gong practitioners introduced people in the park to Falun Gong. They got the chance to find out about Falun Gong's principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and to learn the Falun Gong exercises.

The visitors also learned to fold paper lotus flowers. While they did that, they came to know more about Falun Gong, and also about the persecution carried out by the Communist regime in China for almost ten years. Many people signed a petition demanding a stop to the brutal persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China.

The practitioners held a photo exhibition, which showed the spread of Falun Dafa in the world and the connection between this ancient cultivation practice and traditional culture.

A number of people wanted to know where they could learn the Falun Gong exercises. They also took photos with the photo exhibition in the background.
