My Neighbors Say That Dafa Has Changed Me into a New Person

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Dafa practitioner from the Tanggu District, Tianjin City. I began to learn Falun Dafa in 1997.

Before I obtained the Fa, I had lost the confidence to live. I thought that I had seen enough of all the false, superficial things in the world. When I was around 20 years old, I used to have long hair and wore big earrings. Other than drinking and wandering around, I did almost nothing. I would get myself drunk on the roadside, and then go play Mahjong when I regained consciousness. I often gambled and was involved in gang fights. In no way did I resemble a normal human being. That's how my life was like before I practiced Falun Gong.

I used to have a weird disease: my mouth festered from the tongue to the throat. The pain was so excruciating that I couldn't even open my mouth. A day would pass as though it were a year.

At the end of 1997, my brother brought me a copy of Zhuan Falun. I still remember that it was at 10 a.m. As I flipped through the pages of the book, I immediately knew that what was taught in the book was real. I kept reading until nightfall. Since I thought my brother would want it back to read at night, I returned the book to him.

Early the next morning, I asked my brother to lend me his book again. I quickly finished reading it. After reading it, I came to understand how to lead my life, how to become a better person, why we have to live virtuously, why people are rich or poor, etc. From that day forth, I have embarked on a path of cultivation. I quit drinking, gambling, and fighting. My mouth healed overnight.

It is Falun Dafa that has taken me to a path that will allow me to return to my true self. My neighbors say that Dafa has changed me into a new person.
